Visit to 3 Base Repair Depot (BRD) Chandigarh presenting VRT operations and capabilities and Public, Private Partnership (PPP) model. 3BRD presented various supply chain and procurement challenges regarding aircraft spares support. A large quantity of components presented currently suffering critical supply chain issues. VRT have embarked on a component support project covering the areas of:

• Reverse engineering.

• Engineering recovery rework.

• Defect analysis and engineering extension of repair / recovery limits.

• Application investigation of new technologies and recovery process for component life extensions.

• Alternative part installation and configuration.

Tour of 3BRD maintenance facilities including technical demonstrations, supply chain issues, reliability and operational issues.
